COFFEE MORNING FOR BOOKSHOP VOLUNTEERS

The bookshop in Lynton will be opening on Monday 13 Feb, and looking for volunteers.

If you think this is something you would be interested in or a regular volunteer, then pop in to the Jubilee room at Lynton Town Hall on Wednesday 8 Feb at 11am and meet the team, even if you can only volunteer for one day a month!

We look forward to seeing you.

Bookshop Closed

The bookshop will be closing on the 17 November 2016 and reopening mid Feb 2017. The exact dates will be published in the Lyn Valley News. If you wish to donate books during the period we are closed, please leave them inside the Town Hall by the bookshop door or contact us through our website or Facebook page.

 

Money raised this year has been used for the upkeep of the Town Hall and many community projects including 1st Lyn Scout Group, Lyn Children's Party Lyn in Bloom, Battle of Somme and the Queens 90th Birthday the Cricket Club and a new Solar light on the zig zag path to Lynmouth, also money went to Lynton Library, Santa's Christmas visits and towards lighting for the air ambulances to land locally in Lynton at night.

 

The community Bookshop would like to thank all our volunteers for taking time out and helping to keep the bookshop open with out them we would not be able to support such good causes within our community and wish them all a very Happy Holiday.

 

We would also like to wish all our customers and visitors to the bookshop a very Happy Holiday and hope to welcome you all back next year.

The community bookshop will be opening there doors, for the first time on Monday 15 February at 10am. So come and see what's new on the shelves.

We will be holding a coffee morning on Monday 8 January at 10.30am, in the Jubilee room at the Town Hall in Lynton. Any new volunteers who wish to sign up for this years Bookshop shifts please come and see us.

After a busy July, we are finding our shelves are low on books. If you have any novels you have finished with we would be very appreciative if you would donate them to us.

Community Bookshop 10th Anniversary celebration

To celebrate the 10th year of Lynton Community Bookshop

And to THANK all our supporters, residents and volunteers

LYN COMMUNITY SECOND HAND BOOKSHOP

IN THE TOWN HALL

We are pleased to announce that The Bookshop will be reopening on SATURDAY 15TH FEBRUARY.

This will be the start our usual opening hours of 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday. We hope you will continue to support us by donating and buying books. This is our 10th Anniversary year and we hope to have raised a total of £100,000 by the end of 2014. Money raised is used for the upkeep and refurbishment of the Town Hall and donations to local community projects.

All volunteers are invited to meet up for coffee and an update of changes and improvements to the bookshop in preparation for our reopening. Also, if you would like to become a volunteer please come along to find out more.
